TRI TEAM NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Competition that pits Regional teams of three dogs and handlers against each other, to determine which Region can produce the best team of 3 National Competitors.

The top combined 12 score point total will earn the title of “Tri Team National Champions”, bragging rights for their Region, and a cash prize!
Rules:

  • All competitors must be entered in the AAC National Agility Championships
  • There will be three dog/handler pairs on each team
  • One person cannot run multiple dogs on the same team
  • Dogs can only be entered on one team
  • Handlers can be entered on multiple teams with different dogs
  • ALL three dogs on the team must be from the same Region
  • There is no limit to the number of teams from any Region
  • Max of ONE veteran dog per team (due to the increased opportunities for points for veterans)
  • The best 2 out of 3 competitor scores from each of the 6 National Nationals (2 Standard, 2 Jumpers, 2 Gamblers) rounds will be combined for the team point total (top 2 scores from each of 6 rounds = 12 scores)
  • Each member of the team MUST have at least two scores counted over the 6 events, even if it is not the top score for the team in that event. (ex first dog could contribute 2 Jumpers scores; the second dog could contribute 2 Jumpers scores and 2 Standard scores, and the third dog could contribute 2 Jumpers scores and 2 Standard scores and 2 Gamble Scores)
  • There must be at least one score used from each of the three disciplines (Standard/Jumpers/Gamblers) (ex first dog could contribute 1 Gambler score,  2 Jumpers scores and 1 Standard score; the second dog could contribute 2 Jumpers scores and 2 Standard scores, and the third dog could contribute 2 Jumpers scores and 2 Standard scores)
  • Entry fee of $5 per dog (enter on the AAC National Championship entry form, listing the other two members of the team)
  • Top team will win the title of “Tri Team National Champions”, bragging rights for their Region, and a cash prize!
  • Winners will announced at the Closing Award Ceremonies

  1. Are you considering the United States as a “region” or are we lumped in with our respective Regionals region? Thanks.

  2. Anybody know if the US is considered a region or if we are grouped in with our Region used for Regionals (Ontario for us here in Michigan)? Tried asking last week and haven’t gotten a response.

    and there’s a PDF file there showing how you get assigned into a respective Canadian Region. Looks like Minnesota goes into Saskatchewan / Manitoba / Nunavut… You can still enter Tri Team if you want (just pay us when you get here). Let us know.
