From 2017 National site:

It is a privilege to be selected to judge the AAC 2017 Nationals. It is a job that I take seriously and am honoured to have a role in each of your National’s journey.

I have competed in most AAC Nationals since 2004 so I understand we can get caught up in the numbers game: points to qualify, placements, time bonus, etc but the number you really need to remember is 1–you are number 1 in your dogs life and they are number 1 in your hearts regardless of your Nationals outcome!

I currently share my life with my agility addict husband, Robert Hammer, and our 4 dogs. Our furry foursome includes my current agility partner, Blink, the Papillion, Robert’s 2 agility partners, Dexter, the border terrier, Riff, the border collie and our now retired Reena, the All Canadian.

My AAC “claim to fame” is having the first pug to ever get an ATCh. Buster was my first agility dog. He changed our lives. We went from a house with 2 pets, a Great Dane and a Pug, walking in the local Halifax Nova Scotia parks, to agility training, competing and me judging across the country.

My competitive agility career began in 2003 and my judging career in 2009. Over the years, I have organized many agility trials; big and small so my “hats off” to those that stepped up to host the 2017 AAC Nationals. Remember to thank a volunteer when at Nationals!

I look forward to judging and watching your agility history being made.
