Learn Dogsports

We have training for all stages ... from the dogs and handlers who have never even seen agility, to those gearing up for National and World competition.

Jump to:

Our instructors are actively competing at an International level in the agilty, and keep up to date on recent developments in training and handling methodologies from around the world.

We do not subscribe to a cookie cutter approach to training, but believe that every dog/handler team is unique, and must be given the tools to find their own solutions.

Above all, we believe that training should be a positive experience, and the primary focus of any training should be fun, for both dog and handler.

Below you will see the different types of training we can offer. Or contact us to let us know where your interests and needs are. That'll help us plan and schedule new offerings.

Drop-ins / Private Lessons

Cant get to classes on the day they are offered? Want a little extra help with the thing that are being taught in class? Dog need a little extra help in something that is NOT being taught in class?  Drop-ins / Privates could be the answer

  • A Drop-in ($15-$20 / 30 Minutes) lets you book the Dynamo Dogsports Training Hall to do your own personal Agility / Barn Hunt / Rally or Obedience  / or Trick training; do some Fitness work with your dog; or just bring your dog in to play with you in a safe space.
  • A Drop-in with a Private Lesson ($45 / 30 Minutes) gives you private instruction from one of our qualified instructors during your drop in.

Note: due to Covid restrictions in Alberta,
Drop-ins/privates are not available at this time.

Dogsport Training Classes

We offer training at our training hall year round and cater to all experience levels.

Note: due to Covid restrictions in Alberta,
we are not running any classes at this time.

What people have said
about our training:

- not just one way to do things!"

"Great instruction! Organized and encouraging.
When is the next class?"

"Wonderfully knowledgeable and supportive
way of dealing with both handlers and dogs! We will definately be back for more."

Dynamo a visit from AHS last week. We were able to show them all of our protocols for our dog daycare, and appointment based one on one training sessions and agility runs. Some of our safety protocols include sanitizer stations, masking, distancing at all times, thermometer for temp checks, no spectators or “additional” people allowed, and a 14000 sq ft space with different distinct areas that allow for a LOT of distance and directional flow of clients that allows no close contact. AHS folks seemed satisfied that we were following guidelines, taking note of all the ways we are trying to help people stay safe. We take Covid very seriously, and since it is likely to be with us indefinitely, we have to continue to find ways to work within AHS guidelines for safety, while still providing opportunities for life to keep moving forward. ... Good job 🙂 that’s awesome!

Thank you for keeping this community together while we need to be somewhat apart. Your dedication has been a lifesaver. 💕

Thanks for all of your work on this. Hopefully they will let dog training open up after seeing how safe it can be.

Good job guys! Shout out to you for following the rules though they are hard on everyone. I am excited to finally play in the main ring Friday for a 1 on 1 private

Thank you for posting the comments from AHS so that everyone can see that you are following all of the guidelines, are taking this seriously, and are operating safely with everyone's best interests and safety at heart!

I am so happy you had them come out and tour. They really liked all the thought/protocol put into Parkland as well. They just want to make sure we are doing things correctly/safely. Our local gal was really helpful.

That's fantastic AHS came out to see the facility...here's hoping dog training facilities get the exemption they deserve or atleast reclassified away from human gyms.

Wicked! Great job 👏

Thank you for the update. So good the agility community supports each other.

Love seeing this! After only a few visits, this dog went from very fearful and reactive to being out with the group! She still has a way to go, but this is exactly what we love to do during our daycare. To teach all the dogs to be respectful of each others space. Not just a mob of dogs playing together.

Daycare should teach dogs better manners not create bad ones 🙂

So many heartwarming stories from the day care eh!!

I wish 3/4 of my grooming clients would do this! So many little freaked out dogs in the world just because they were never socialized.
